Academic Advising Appointments are self-scheduled during the Fall and Winter terms through a platform called Career Forge which our Student Affairs team shares with our Career and Professional Development colleagues. While scheduling, you’ll be able to choose whether you want to meet in-person or via video call. You should plan on meeting with an academic advisor at least once per semester.
Scheduling Academic Advising Appointments
Over the summer, academic advisors can offer virtual appointments via Zoom. Email us at TaubmanCollegeAdvising@umich.edu with your weekday availability to get an appointment scheduled.
Drop-In Advising
Student Affairs staff are also available for Drop-In Advising Hours throughout the week in the Fall and Winter terms. Click here for the current drop-in schedule.
Topics you might want to discuss with an academic advisor include:
- Registration/course selection
- Degree planning
- Scholarship/Fellowship Opportunities
