The Art and Architecture Building provides nearly 240,000 square feet of space equally divided between two academic units of the University: Taubman College and the School of Art & Design. In addition, the Taubman Wing, which was completed in 2017, offers an additional 36,000 square feet of studio facilities, faculty offices, and collaborative learning space.

Online Resources The University provides a number of cloud-based applications aiding in learning, teaching and collaboration. Canvas (Learning Management System), Qualtrics (Survey Software), BlueJeans (Cloud Based Video Conferencing), U-M Google (Collaboration Software), and U-M Box (Cloud Based Secure File Storage) are all tools that the University has licensed for faculty, staff and students. There are 8 classrooms (1221, 2104, 2108, 2204, 2210, 2213, 2222, 2227), 2 review spaces (East and West) and 1 video conference/telepresence room (2224) in Taubman College. Additional Tools Additional tools and equipment available to student in the highbay include a hydralic press, various mig welders, a tig welder, a large brake, a horizontal bandsaw, a drill press, a vertical panel saw, a large gantry and several grinders. The Zund cnc knife cutter is used for wide flatbed cutting of stock that range from cardboard and foam, to leather or textiles. The College operates five laser cutter systems. Two LaserCAMM systems are located in the A+AB woodshop and three VLS 6.60 laser systems are located in the west computer lounge, on the 3rd floor. The FABLab has two vertical metal mills for fabricating precision parts. They are mostly used to manufacture tools and parts for the robots, which allow fabrication of high quality custom tooling prototypes. The 3-axis Water Jet cutting system is designed for cutting 2-dimensional profiles or shapes out of flat sheet materials, ranging from sheet metal to metal plate and plastics.
