The FABLab has two vertical metal mills for fabricating precision parts. They are mostly used to manufacture tools and parts for the robots, which allow fabrication of high quality custom tooling prototypes.
Procedure
The mills are programmed with MasterCAM software or manually operated for simple applications.
Materials
The most common materials machined on the mills are ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as cast plastics.
