FOIA Requests

The University of Michigan’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) office typically sends all FOIA requests to the chief of staff (CoS) at Taubman College. Should you get a FOIA request, please send it to the CoS who will work with staff and academic team leaders to determine who the right people are to pull together

Finance-Sponsored Programs

Finance-Sponsored Programs handles all the contract negotiations for an award, between the sponsor and the University. Typically our Taubman research administrator will be able to liaise with them.

Ginsberg Center

Ginsberg Center supports faculty, academic program staff, and graduate students doing community engagement in all schools and colleges at U-M. Ginsberg Center staff can help you integrate equitable community engagement experiences into your courses, research, and programs.

Government Relations

Government Relations manages and supports relationships with government offices at the city, state, and national levels. They typically keep us in the loop if they perceive any upcoming opportunities for faculty research/teaching, but do reach out if you think you would like to work with a government office in some way.

Innovation Partnerships

Innovation Partnerships manages and supports most industry / corporate research alliances and relationships and licensing, including technology transfer, across the University. Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR)

Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) provides resources and services that enable & enhance clinical & translational research at U-M. MICHR does this by being a catalytic partner that educates, funds, connects & supports research teams at U-M and beyond.

Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP)

Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) handles the administrative tasks of a project before it is awarded, and typically our Taubman research administrator will liaise with them. The ORSP website provides a wide range of useful information and resources.

U-M Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR)

U-M Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is the main central office catalyzing, supporting, and safe-guarding research at the University. Among other administrative roles, probably the most relevant to you will be that OVPR offers internal grants and awards in various cycles.
