Taubman College Slack Information

About

The HR team is excited to announce that we have created a Taubman College Staff workspace within the university Slack system. The goal of these channels is to create a space where all staff can easily communicate and collaborate. We hope that Slack will help us work together and build community across teams at the college rather than staying siloed in our own teams.

For those of you unfamiliar with Slack, it is a messaging app that connects people to the information they need. Within Slack, there are workspaces. A workspace is made up of channels, which organize conversations into dedicated spaces where staff members can communicate and work together.

Channels

Within our new Taubman College Staff workspace, we have created three channels. Here are the channels and how we intend to use them:

  • #tc-general-info
    • This channel is for all permanent part- and full-time staff members. This is a space to share reminders, upcoming events, or general university resources.
  • #tc-career-resources
    • This channel is for all permanent part- and full-time staff members. This is a space to share professional development opportunities, interesting articles, or other career-related resources.
  • #tc-community-bonding
    • This channel is for all permanent part- and full-time staff members. This is a space to build community by sharing fun items such as exciting life events, fun facts, photos of your pet, and more.

Please let us know if you have any recommendations. We invite your ideas and engagement!
