The first Taubman College Career Trek took place during spring break in 2023, with a group of students traveling to Chicago, Illinois with career staff. The Career Trek Program provides students an opportunity to interact directly with several employers and alumni in a host city. Each trek will include office visits, presentations, and a networking event.
Each Career Trek is customized to meet the needs of students. When you apply to participate in a Career Trek, you will be asked to indicate employers of interest in the host city. We will attempt to connect you with these employers through office visits or networking opportunities.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, we anticipate that three (3) career treks will take place – one trek during Fall Break, and two treks during the Spring Break. The expected trek schedule is as follows:
- Fall Career Trek: October 14 – 15 in Chicago, IL
- Spring Break Career Trek: March 3 – 4 in Atlanta, GA
- Spring Break Career Trek: March 6 in Detroit, MI
Students interested in the Career Trek program will be required to submit an application in order to be considered. Information about application timelines and deadlines will be communicated to students via our bi-weekly career emails. If you have questions about the Career Trek program, please reach out to the Career & Professional Development team at taubmancollegecareer@umich.edu.

Students are responsible for all costs associated with our Career Treks. In many cases, this would likely include:
