Community Lists

Are you a current Taubman College faculty or staff member who finds themselves in need of a list of our faculty, staff, and/or students to accomplish a work task?

We want to ensure that you have easy access to the information you need, but recognize that our Student Affairs and Human Resources teams are managing an increasing number of  duplicate requests repeatedly throughout the year. To streamline this process, we have introduced Community Lists.

The Community Lists live in Google Drive. Current faculty and staff may be granted ongoing access to the live documents once they’ve demonstrated a legitimate professional/academic need. Simply complete this form to request access.

Once you complete the form and receive access, you won’t need to submit another request. Your access to the lists will remain active. Student Affairs and Human Resources will regularly update the lists at the existing links and you can return to the same drive location as often as you need to download the latest version.

A few important notes:

  • Our unit’s Frequently Used Email Groups are still active. For example: If you need to email all M.Arch students, don’t feel obligated to download the student list and filter it to M.Arch students. You can still email MArch.students@umich.edu.
  • You are expected to use the bcc option for all direct emails to ensure the list of emails does not become public and to avoid unnecessary ‘reply-all’ threads.
  • Do not share a copy of the list(s). If another member of our faculty or staff needs a list, they should submit their own request via this form.

A quick reminder about FERPA: Although many of the details within the student list are considered directory information, we have a responsibility to ensure it is only accessed and used for legitimate educational purposes. Remember to only use the Community Lists for the reasons you provide in your request for access.
