Independent Study Approval Form for Ph.D. Tutorial Studies in Architecture (ARCH 810).
Faculty Eligibility
Independent studies must be supervised by an instructor of record who holds at least a 50% effort appointment and is a tenure-track faculty member, practice-track faculty member, or a Lecturer II, III, or IV for the duration of the independent study. These studies are conducted voluntarily and do not include additional compensation. Faculty members whose work visa conditions (i.e., H1-B, J-Visa, TN) prohibit this type of arrangement are not eligible to oversee independent studies.
